Two years of developing games for the less powerful iPhone and iPod touch has prepared developers to unleash the iPad's potential.

For writing and basic Internet access, a 500 MHz G3 provides sufficient power and Tiger provides fairly up-to-date software.

Also kudos for Shiira, G3 vs. G4 upgrade for Pismo PowerBook, and 17" PowerBook still suffices.

With Android threatening the iPhone's dominance, Apple views Microsoft and Windows 7 Mobile as the lesser threat.

Apple's iPad will have a place as the in-between Mac that can do a lot of the light duty tasks typically done on a notebook.

You can buy a used PowerBook or a hackable netbook, or you can buy a notebook with enough computing power to do real work.

After 10 years on Macs, switching to Windows and Linux only highlighted the elegance and consistency of the Mac experience.

By filing suit against HTC, Apple may slow adoption of the Android platform while giving Windows 7 Mobile an unexpected boost.

Touting a vibrant artistic style, Battle of Puppets combines beautiful graphics, the hallowed art of puppetry, and ruthless combat! Its players are cast as silent puppeteers, who must strategically control their hordes of marionette minions as they battle across a series of 22 American theatres on their quest for Broadway acclaim. All 22 theatres have custom operatic backdrops of famous landmarks, and now each one has a global leaderboard through OpenFeint.

To destroy the opposing forces and win the affection of the crowd, players must travel across the country, tactfully building units, upgrading their castle and outposts, and even casting spells or “professions” by using written gestures. As the campaigns progress, players can unlock all 6 professions, learning to repair their troops, mind control the enemy, boo the opposition, and more!

Players choose one of 5 operas that vary significantly in terms of relative strengths and weaknesses, unit types, building speeds, and most interestingly, how they are affected by changing weather conditions. Now players can unlock custom artwork when they beat the game with each opera!
